About Blue Ridge Art Way
A creative space rooted in connection, curiosity, and craft.
Blue Ridge Art Way was founded with a simple idea: art should feel welcoming. Whether you're just picking up a pencil for the first time or you've been painting for years, we believe in creating a space where you can grow, experiment, and be inspired—without pressure or pretense.
Based in Waynesville, North Carolina, our studio is located inside Folkmoot, a historic and vibrant cultural hub nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. We offer in-person workshops, private lessons, and community events in drawing, watercolor, and oil painting—with more to come.
At the core of everything we do is a belief in learning by doing, creating with joy, and building a community of artists who lift each other up. Our approach is grounded in strong fundamentals, but we ditch the rigid rules and outdated methods in favor of something more personal, expressive, and human.
Blue Ridge Art Way is led by artists and educators Stephanie and Rylan Love, who bring years of experience, humor, and heart to every workshop. With a shared passion for helping others reconnect with their creativity, they’ve created an environment where art feels less intimidating and a lot more fun.
Whether you're here to learn new techniques, rediscover your creative spark, or just have a good time with good people—you're in the right place.
Come as you are. Leave with paint on your hands, a sketchbook full of ideas, and a reminder that you were always an artist.
